Hawaiian Night

On Saturday 29th May Stuart and I went to a Hawaiian night at Tom and Patty's house. They did a fantastic job decorating the house with tropical flowers and fruit arrangements. Once inside you would never have known that there was snow on the ground outside and arctic temperatures. I was planning to wear a coconut bra and grass skirt but fortunately for the other guests the weather meant I had to change my plans and I ended up wearing the grass skirt over three quarter length jeans, a top with numerous leis and a few flowers in my hair. It was a fun night and as usual the outfits other people come up with never disappoint. I'm always impressed by how much effort other people seem to put in to their costumes. A few who shall remain nameless were clearly on a mission to get me drunk that night, but their attempts were exposed when a gin and tonic that I had ordered arrived so obviously laced. They should learn to a be a bit more subtle next time!
